Australian software company ISW breaks into global Microsoft Market
Huddo Boards, formerly known as Kudos Boards, launches into the Microsoft market as a fully integrated alternative to Microsoft Planner
Wednesday 9 March 2021
Australian software development practice ISW, kick-off 2021 by releasing the Huddo apps suite. Previously known as Kudos Apps, ISW updated their internally developed app suite name to better reflect how their customers work, by gathering together to collaborate in ‘Huddles’.
Adam Brown, Director of Innovation and Strategy at ISW said:
“Our software has been continuously influenced by our customers. What they do, how they work and how they communicate. Not only are our customers at the center of our product development, now they have inspired our name. With the transformation of a new name and new branding, we feel that our suite of applications is getting the spotlight it deserves.”
The release of Huddo has coincided with developments across their product range, with new functionality and more integrations into Microsoft 365 and HCL Digital Solutions. However, it is their flagship product Huddo Boards which has broken into the Microsoft Market, as a fully integrated alternative to Microsoft Planner.
Huddo Boards is a collaborative project and task management application, available for Microsoft 365, HCL Connections, and cloud users. Unlike most other task and project management apps, Huddo Boards fully integrates into Microsoft 365. Its accessibility directly with Microsoft Teams, and integration with Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint embed Huddo Boards into the established processes of Microsoft Users.
With additional features and powerful kanban, project management, and ideation views, Huddo Boards is providing Microsoft Users a more powerful alternative to Planner without decentralising collaboration or compromising on cost.
Hailey Berkhout, Customer Success Manager at Huddo said:
“With the announcement of Huddo we are very pleased to be releasing a very exciting capability for Boards; a new and far more powerful API and integration capability. This is an area clients have asked us to extend, so we have listened. In addition, we have integrated Huddo Boards, for both our cloud and on-premise customers, with both Zapier and Microsoft Power Automate. These integrations allow boards to be easily plugged into other applications, supporting automations, workflows and data transfer to thousands of other software services.”
The move to the Microsoft market looks to build upon the success of Huddo Boards in HCL Connections. Huddo continues to maintain its long history and close connections to HCL Technologies and has created a seamless transition to Huddo Boards with auto-redirects. Huddo Boards is seamlessly integrated into HCL Connections Communities, Files and Activity stream, and HCL Verse and HCL Notes.
Users are already seeing visual and branded changes, with Huddo planning to bring on-premise users across to the new environment shortly. This includes users of ‘Activities Plus’, a simpler and free version of Huddo Boards for HCL Connections users.
Maria Nordin, Business Development at Huddo said:
“We in the Huddo team strive to evolve Huddo Boards so it fits the office worker of today. New work conditions such as home working and working from different offices can make it harder to collaborate and follow up on work in between colleagues. We like to be in close contact with our customers and we always welcome feedback and examples from their day-to-day work, which we use too make Huddo Boards even better.”
Huddo Boards is available from the Microsoft, Android, and iOS app stores. HCL Connections users can access Huddo Boards on the cloud, on-premise, or within a hybrid environment. Individual users can also signup to Huddo Boards using third-party authentication such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, or Apple.
